Saint Mary’s College Ballisodare is competing in the WEEE schools’ battery recycling challenge! 


The WEEE Ireland Schools Battery Recycling Challenge is a FREE Waste Battery Recycling Programme that educates and encourages environmental awareness among students. 

The programme supports families cared for by LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, and offers students the chance to win fantastic prizes for the most batteries collected per school. The winning school with the most recycled batteries will be in for chance to win 2000 euro in sports equipment! 

We will be holding recycling opportunity days and a chance for students for all unwanted batteries (AA, AAA and old phone batteries) on the week of March 11th to 15th. Please help us reach our goal of achieving a clean and sustainable environment through recycling! All donations welcome!
